Gently strike the disk. The clutch will pivot and the top cymbal will drop. |

The cymbals are closed – you don’t need to keep your foot on the pedal. |

Step on the pedal and the clutch will re-engage and the hi-hats will operate normally again. |

Release the pedal and the clutch rim will hit the trip arm, dropping the top cymbal. |

Step on the pedal and the clutch will re-engage and the hi-hats will operate normally again. Simple rotate the trip arm out of place if you do not want hands free operation. |

The wash control sits on the pull rod fits between the hi-hat cymbals. Turn the nut to adjust wash control height. Set the “Wash” you want when the clutch makes the top cymbal fall. Lengthen for more wash. Shorten for more staccato. |
